  • Currently working on a pilot plant project for the extraction of cellulose from agricultural wastes to be used as a raw material in the pharmaceutical, chemical and allied industries.

  • Carried out special pharmacokinetic studies on new drug products as part of clinical trials for Nigerian Hoechst, PLC, Lagos, and Associated Pharmaceutical Products Ltd (formerly Merck, Sharpe & Dohme), Lagos, 1987 – 1994

  • Carried out a feasibility study for a drug manufacturing unit for Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, 1995.

  • N2.88 million grant from the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Abuja in 2004 to set up a prototype facility for the production of cellulose from agricultural wastes for test-use by local pharmaceutical manufacturers.

  • United States Government grant worth N2.1 million (jointly granted to Dr PO Erah and myself) under the Universities Innovation Fund program

  • U.S. $20,000.00 grant from UNESCO in 1995 under the UNISPAR programme to set up a pilot plant for the extraction of cellulose from agricultural wastes.

  • Approx. N68,000 grant from the defunct National Science & Technology Fund, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology in 1993, for the simulated studies on pilot scale extraction of cellulose from agricultural wastes.

  • Money and materials worth tens of thousands of naira granted by Nigerian Hoechst, Plc., Ikeja on a continuous basis, beginning from 1987, for the progressive study of the pharmacokinetics of the antibacterial drugs, ofloxacin and roxithromycin in human subjects.
